Zube, the UK’s first dedicated student laundry service, has launched a groundbreaking trial at Trinity Square in Gateshead!
Trinity Square Accommodation is a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) housing over 1,000 Northumbria University students. This marks a major milestone for Zube, as Trinity Square becomes the first large-scale PBSA site to trial the innovative service.
The trial offers students the chance to experience Zube’s hassle-free laundry solution, with pickup and drop-off services right from their accommodation. The initiative is designed to test the waters, gather feedback, and refine the service to best suit student needs.

Jack Darragh, part of the management team at Trinity Square, expressed excitement about the partnership:
“Bringing Zube to Trinity Square is a fantastic opportunity for our students. Laundry is one of those everyday tasks that can be a hassle, and this trial gives them access to a convenient, time-saving solution. We’re always looking for ways to enhance student living, and this is a great step forward.”
Zube’s Founder and CEO, Nav, echoed this enthusiasm:
“Securing our first major PBSA site at Trinity Square is a huge moment for us. We’re committed to making student life easier, and this trial allows us to engage directly with students to fine-tune our service to fit their needs. We believe this could be the start of a major shift in how student laundry is handled across the UK.”
Beyond convenience, Zube prioritises sustainability and tailoring the service for students by using eco-friendly, skin-safe, and cruelty-free detergents, ensuring that students can enjoy a high-quality service with minimal environmental impact.
This trial is expected to be one of the largest student laundry trials ever seen in the UK. As it progresses, Zube will continue working closely with students at Trinity Square Student Accommodation as well as other students in the city, gathering insights to shape the future of student laundry services nationwide.
